It is anticipated that most of the total returns of the Orbis Funds will be earned from capital appreciation on their investments rather than investment income from dividends or other income. As a result, investors should expect that in most years, after deduction of a Fund's expenses, the Fund might not have any net investment income available for dividends. However, Funds which have been certified for the purposes of Chapter V of Part XVII of the United Kingdom Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988, as distributing funds are expected to apply for that status for the 2009 fiscal year and distribute such net investment income as is required to endeavour to maintain that status.
