The Investment Analysis team is responsible for the research and analysis of business and industry fundamentals to determine the intrinsic value of businesses. We offer a meritocratic environment for analysts to prove their skills objectively using our technical management system. Successful candidates will learn to pick stocks in a firm with market-beating returns across different cycles and market conditions. After a period of mentoring, we offer analysts individual responsibility and freedom to direct their own research efforts.
The Business Management team focuses on the analysis and management of business issues. As Orbis is in an exciting time of growth, Business Management focuses on strategy, organizational development, human resources, finance and operations. This multi-faceted role provides the opportunity to grow into the next generation of leaders in Orbis.
Fund Operations is responsible for a variety of activities and plays an integral role in the day-to-day administration of our funds and servicing our clients. Some responsibilities include:
The IT team at Orbis develops and maintains a suite of in-house systems for investment research, portfolio management, fund accounting, trading and compliance, website, intranet and client relationship management. Orbis believes that IT is integral to the business, and has a huge potential to give us a competitive advantage in every facet of the organization. Our developers are expected to work closely with the business and deliver creative, efficient solutions. They are also closely involved in the entire lifecycle of a project. We currently have several openings for software developers and candidates who are interested in building and managing our global network and infrastructure.
The Legal and Compliance Team provides advice, recommendations and solutions with regard to the full range of legal, compliance and tax matters that arise in our business. The team evaluates the appropriateness of a particular course of action and leverages their legal and compliance skills to creatively and proactively facilitate the group's realisation of its strategic objectives. We are currently looking for lawyers with corporate and commercial experience as well as candidates who have a background in compliance.
